Areas of Expertise
Counseling/Psychotherapy
I've been working in this field for over a decade, in a variety of settings. This has given me a wide breadth of experience to draw on in this work.
My primary goal is to co-create a safe place for you to explore your experiences, process your thoughts/emotions, and really look at what's going on under the surface of things. I weave in elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems and somatic (body centered) techniques depending on what's needed in each session.
Art Therapy
We can use art making in session as a way to express things that may be too complex to put into words, as a way to deepen your understanding of your experience, as a way to increase your capacity to express yourself, and as a way to cope. Art often brings joy, insight, and ease along the way. You don't even have to consider yourself artistic or creative to reap the benefits of incorporating visual media into your therapy.
Psychedelic preparation/Integration
While I do not offer any psychedelic substances or plant medicines, nor do I sit in or facilitate these experiences, I can offer preparation support as you plan your journey and integration support on the other side.

Please note: I do not encourage plant medicine or psychedelic work as part of the therapy services I offer; if you aren't interested in exploring those healing experiences we can still do great work together.
My Approach
My goal is to be gentle, yet direct. I understand the value in softness and tenderness, especially when we're working on painful material or looking at parts of our experience that are hard to stomach, hard to face, hard to even acknowledge. Our culture has encouraged us to be tough, to endure, to confront and there are certainly times when that's needed in therapy, but it's not for all circumstances. Many of us come to this work of therapy already wounded warriors and I aim to co-create a safe place for you to set down the armor bit by bit, if only for an hour at a time. A place where you can reclaim the value of true self-expression, vulnerability, and your own innate wisdom.

If you're dealing with complex trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety or if you identify as highly sensitive and/or neurodivergent - this could be the place for you. Together, we'll evaluate what's most important to work on and determine what approaches suit your needs best.
